About Ted

Most of my business is general real estate — helping people buy and sell homes across Utah County, and I love it! Every sale or purchase of a home comes with a set of challenges and obstacles to overcome, and I live for the rush that comes when we ultimately succeed.

There is one kind of move I've learned to care about a lot: helping 55+ homeowners and their families figure out what's next, whether that's downsizing to a designed community, moving closer to family, or transitioning into assisted living. It's not always a simple sale — there's often a lifetime of memories in that house, family members to coordinate with, and timing that matters. I try to make that process feel handled, not rushed.

I split my growing years between the Chicago area and Springville, Utah. My parents drilled into me the value of hard, manual labor . . . a lot, which instilled in me a desire to get an education. I earned a BA in English, business administration and Korean, and later, an MBA (emphasis in marketing & advertising), from Brigham Young University.

My other passion is serving those who risk their lives to protect us. I recently completed a four-year term as president of the Honoring Heroes Foundation, a 501c3 charity, and continue to serve on the board of directors to support the families of Utah’s fallen and injured law enforcement officers.

I live in Mapleton, Utah, with my kind and beautiful wife, Becca and their four children: Sam, Josh, Maurie and Buddy (aka Nic). We enjoy gardening, hiking, cycling, fishing and camping together as a family, and especially cooking food and smoking BBQ for others.
